Your, You're

- Your  is a possessive pronoun
- you're  is a contraction of you

  •   your book is on the table
  •  you’re a good friend


Loose. Lose

- Loose is the opposite of tight
- Lose is the opposite of win

  • I lose the game
  • He often wears jeans and loose shirt


Accept, Except
- Accept means to receive
- Except means to exclude

  • I didn't  accept  your invitation
  • I go to school everyday except sunday




Confusingly Related Words

Bored, Boring

- Bored refers to when someone feel bored
- Boring refers to something that is boring

  • I'm bored
  • The party is boring.


Hear, Listen

- Hear : A sound/noise comes into your ear without you making an effort
- Listen : when you pay attention and try to listen to sounds.

  • I can't hear anything because of the loud music.
  • I love listening to music in my room.


Fit, Suit

- Fit  refers to size and shape. if your clothes fit you, they are neither too big nor too small.
- Suit  refers to style, colour, etc.

  • the jacket fits you perfectly
  • blue and white are colours that suit me very well
